Last time I only gave 2 options. You said there should be another option for "Don't like the style, but the songs ok."

Like the drums, but the general style for me is too repetitive. The piano I can still live with being this repetitive, but the horn I think is definetly over-represented. It's too distinct to be used this much I think. Also, I think you are perhaps a bit too trigger happy with the reverb. It makes the whole song sound very distant and as if it's played in a chamber. Perhaps that is the idea though, as the name is welcome to the ceremony.
Drumprogramming is top notch. I wish I had the energy to make drums this variating and interesting. However other than that this is not my style of music. Therefore, a Sunbuster vote is cast |

i like it.
i totally agree with sunbuster on the drums, youve obviously put a lot of time into the programming (reminds me of tundra by squarepusher).
i also like the piano loop. i wasnt sure at first because of the change to a minor key, but after a few times i really started to get into it.
only problem was that i skipped through the first part to get to the drums on the 2nd/3rd listen. the intro is a bit indulgent and the drums are the strongest point of the track.
anyway, great track.
cheers

Hi man, good work. Nice drums and rhytmics. Unfortunately it's not my 'cup of cafe', but what I said good work. |

Thanks for the comments. It's really interesting reading how others listen to tracks.
Being a drummer, the drums are the easiest for me to do, and I spend as much time on the other stuff, but always find it harder to get results. Everytime I try any more than simple repetitive stuff, I end up not liking it. Plus, I like to mix my tunes in with other dnb so it helps to keep things simple with longer intros etc.
Interesting point about the reverb, too. I'll bear that in mind next time.
Thanks again. Any more comments welcome. |

As mentioned previously: excellent beat programming. I'm personally not that much a twisted-amen-adept, but this is interesting nevertheless. It has a rather heavy mid-90's jungle atmosphere concerning the horn and the amens. The piano reminds me a bit of the anthems of anthems, Renegade - Terrorist. To make it work better on the dancefloor, there should be a more pounding balance between bassdrum and the snare, since these two are key ingredients for deciding how and when to dance on dnb Bassdrum deeper and more appearing, snare more highlighted, and this might work on the dancefloor. |
