Hi all..
I've started with a new track. This time completely done in MT2, some samples, superwave plugins (won in the 4th compo ) and some free kjaerhus plugins.
The strings are sometimes out of notes I guess, (limit is 8 notes at the same time) but I have to fix that.
This is the first mix of it, I will alter loads of it and also are busy with a tech remix or something
Happy listening:

edit: oh yeah, in the beginning the bassline isn't correct, but that's a bug in the superwave plugin. |

good!! I like it!!
Maybe the thing I like the most is the low ""line"" sound, (I don't know how to indicate!), that listes so good around 2:00 min song!.
After that... synth like me too!
the bass at the begining, it's true, maybe change it!!
and... Beats... appart from trance tipical beats.. give more "moving" let's see... all time are the same beats, isn't it?? (I do the same on my mt2 files jaja)... have to variate it???)
But, it seems to be a good MT2 file!
WHAT ??? now that I'm making one trance MT2, you too???
Good luck!! |

okay , the bassline in the start has the typical cutoff superwave error ..
I would rather start off with a more "arping" bassline, eh what i mean is add some notes in the silent parts .. i hope u understand what i mean
The beat maybe some more hats in it to give it more drive.
The stabbing chords are great, the subbass (off sync) is a bit loud, but that's just a matter of getting the mixdown right at the end of the process ..
Cool melodies, looking forward to the finished product .

i like the hi pass filtering on the bassline. when the pads come in, and the high arp it has a real old school trance feel to it which is great. the percussion is nice, although another layer would be good, maybe some toms, or another layer of hats at a lower frequency (2khz - 4khz maybe).
the main theme is nice, especially the supersaw stabs. as franky said, the bassline takes some of the drive out of the track, it definately needs something to lift it up, and also some sub bass to thicken out the bottom end a bit.
other than those small points i really like the track. i think it develops well and has good melodies, only thing is the lack of originality (same problem as me then ).
cheers
