Come on!!

Kick&bass seems to be welcomingm whenever:P!

Maybe the "trush" (snare sound) are too "old"...let's see.. too many duty and noisy (ok ok, I always say the same, but I don't like that too "old sounding noisy" samples/intruments).

Synth melody are good, perfect "lineal" melody, and the "plip/soft synth background" makes good kicking melody.

Maybe you have to listen it (and other of your songs) in a Good Equalizer, to see the high reverberation and excitation.

<<---->>

Maybe put a Compressor(the best and simply I think is the E-Phonic Compressor) on MASTER track (if you have you MadTracker to do it!Razz)

the 1st 14 seconds i was incredibly impressed. the percussion roll, the kick, the pad sweeps, all fantastic. i thought it was going to launch into some really moody hard techno.
it didnt unfortunately. the track isnt bad from there on. the percussion is good (i like the clap). the bassline is pretty nice, although there needs to be some big sub bass in there i think.
production wise, there is loads of clipping, get inspector and have a look. the other problem is the track is too bright, the synths are too loud and the perc eq'd too much in the high freqs.
other than that though its cool. i just wish it was the techno track it sounded like it was going to be.

I miss the lyrics from the orignal song - so nerdy... so great...
Nice work anyways but that compession sure would be nice.

Ok, thx for all that (flaming but necessary) response.
This was made in just one evening, so it's not surprising.
Yes, mastering has always been my weak spot. With a rather shitty soundcard and earplugs it isn't always easy. I will look into the things y'all said.

Frazze: Yes, lyrics are cool, but that song! Truly awful!
They might be a great band with another singer.

i think my post came across more negatively than it was meant to. i like the track a lot, the intro just threw me off what the rest of the track developed into.

Listening to your tune right now..

There's a bit too strong high frequencies!

The other one's that've written in this topic is kind of right that when the theme comes up around 1.30 minutes the tune lose a bit of the drive that was in the intro..

Good work, anyway Smile. Nothing beats the original song though Very Happy

Good work!

Gotta agree with the mastering.

I don´t know the original tune...but the title itself is cool "Never trust a Klingon"...lol.

I like the part that starts at 2:14 the most!

Made in one evening?
Impressive...

Great track m8:)

realy that club feeling, but i think the drums are a bit bad mastered, the clap is abit to much "pitched" or how to say.
but the other drums sounds great Smile

well you use some cool synths in there too, i like that.
Great song! =)

/good work

Youtube is fantastic.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5JATo5yvEyY&search=spock

An old live film from 1993 (I think), of the original Never Trust A Klingon.

This film was part of a live VHS they released around that time.

They've changed 2/3 of the members and changed outfits since then Wink

Dunno if they're alive any longer though.
