Customised keyboard shortcuts

I know that these are planned for MT3, but in what form?
I would like to be able to use just one key press for a function, rather than alt + whatever.

yeah but then how would you insert notes, if by pressing 'q' you'd quit madtracker rather than input a C-4 .. (for example)

but maybe [shift+Q] would be a different story

Im sure it wouldnt be hard for Yannick to make a script file to look at shortcuts that could be edited for your own assigning, but really that could make things harder to deal with when trying to explain things.
