DJ's: make me a mix!

Due to the christmas holidays and my current flu, the same radiobroadcast of Bigbeats has been online for three weeks (and will be for another week). I therefore ask all you DJ's out there to make me a sparkling, energetic mix of approximately an hour. This mix will be hosted for a week on my site, and might stay there (that is, if I like it enough Very Happy).

Post here, PM me, or e-mail me (inge@madtracker.org) for more information.

Disclaimer: this won't make you famous. Far from it. Think around 50 listeners. But hey...it's fun to do!

I'm not interested if the mix is live, Protool'd or whatsoever. Just give me your best shot!

[minimum requirements: 96 kbps or higher, 60 to 70 minutes, elektronic dance music (style is important, but I do prefer variety)].

hmm, how about copyrighted music? you cool with us using stuff from our vinyls and CD's? or should we be using royalty-free music?

The more copyrights, the better Smile

Ergo: I don't care. Currently, internetbroadcasting is more or the less covered by the fact that my radiostation pays their radiobroadcastfees for copyrights.

Hence: you choose. Unsigned talents can be quite appealing too!

The first mix is online: Qbical's too tired from online shopping to move my ass mix!

It will be there for about one or two days, so there's still plenty of room for follow-up mixes. Overwhelm me! Very Happy

Mikx: writing while listening: this mix is also excellent! I never knew so many promising DJ's dwell here!

I'm thinking of making a 'mix of the week' section at my site, so that visitors can get in contact with a fresh mix & DJ every week. There is so much nice DJ-material around, that I can't neglect to distribute it to more people Very Happy

no probs..
how about a means of recording your live sets from the club? that would be interesting. one day i'm gonna hook up a mike and get the crowd reactions (boos, whilstling, thowing bottles at me) recorded too. i think that'll make for a proper live feel to the overall recording..

inge - thanks for the comments Smile. you have an awesome idea! it's fantastic to see what some of the users here have come up with; you're right- we do have quite a variety of deejay talent on the forums.. it's great to see (err, hear)!

one thing though, is i couldn't for some reason download Qbical's mix.. is it still up? maybe it's up on another server? edit: err it works. but needs to download the whole 65mb before playing. any direct links?

Smile
