Today's downtime was due to a network card failure that put the system offline. Also, a misconfiguration prevented a remote reboot from working (my bad). I had to go on site to reboot the server properly.
I guess that after 2 years of uptime, the network card needed a rest. It's not high-end hardware, just the same hardware you could have in your own home PC (still with a high-end RAID controller for data safety).
