What's there to do when your musical ideas just suck? One option is to ask Frankie-Man for the source file of Sonic Lights and make a crappy remix. Here's what it sounds:
Franklin Van Uden - Sonic Lights (Heretic Albatros mix by Ravana)
The original can be found there: http://www.ctgmusic.com/song.php?id=10189
In the previous episode (Höh Hmm) Jolli and Joonas went to the 80's to a Nitzer Ebb concert. Unfortunately through many unfortunate events Joonas raped and killed a couple of girls. Synkromies didn't like this, 'cause the girls happened to be his sisters and girlfriend.
Here's the story:
They had some doubts already about the world not being quite in order, but when they saw Sonic Lights by Frankie-Man on the first place on the national charts, they knew something was totally wrong. And just if that wouldn't be enough already, it was, on top of all, a lousy remix of Sonic Lights.
There were now basically two options: to put things right or to not put things right. Jolli and Joonas collectively decided on the second option, at least for the time being. It WAS a new world, after all. Just be extra careful of those surprisingly familiar-looking weirdos running the streets. Jolli's attention was very soon, however, attracted by the heaps of fresh corpses lying in piles on each side of the road. How neat!
Synkromies had no idea what he soon was going to face. |

Hmm, no feedback so far ... okay i'll be the first one
First of all, any remix of my own creations is intresting, no matter which genre it turns out to be at the end.
This one has a nice industrial/electro feeling to it, the intro and the low fi feeling to the beat is not my taste , but anyways i love the way it turned out to be, something completly different than my original, so good creativity is shown without entirley blow aways the main theme i made in the original. Most of the beat Programming i like alot, sometimes it has a great 80-ies alike electro/synthpop feeling to it which i really fancy. Also the gated harmonica sounds/stabs are cool!
I would rather call it an extreme makover than a remix, but that's exactly what i've expected from Ravana's dark yet intresting style .
As for the story , i can't really read/understand the previous episodes of your story, but i loved the English piece that comes along with the remix , i tast a little sarcasm , which is always good to challenge ppl (wait until i Franklinize one of your tracks *grins*).
Besides that:
I know that for most ppl this genre is not as appealing than the more populair genres, that's why this kind of tracks get less feedback, kinda pitty, because it's all creativity and anyone should be able to comment on a production level no matter what genre IMO ..
In short good work, not entirly my taste of genre , i know it's been quite a challenge to turn a trance track into your style, so kudo's on that one ! |
Music ... is endless ... Work in progress ...

I was complaining about the kick yesterday. Now earlier today I listened to Velvet Acid Christ, and thought I would really like to make a similar kick. Then I just listened to this piece again and I noticed that it is actually quite similar. It may be, as the other drums too, a bit lofi, but I like the softness which I was able to bring to it after all. I used Drumatic then after all, but because I was so damn lazy already at that point, I just ran the whole Drumatic stuff through the kick channel, but it's okay, I guess.

Yeah I was thinking there aren't many parts recognizeable, but I guess it's still quite strongly a remix. There's the melody in the main part, your loop and your girl's toy
And yes, there is sarcasm in the story and general sarcasm in the piece. Thanks again. |
