If your talking about cityofangelsky.... Well your trying to but mostly no... i don't know much about the rock genre, but you should get better guitar samples fot sure... But the way you used the samples is a start |

about CityOfanlgelSky...
well... rock style? yeah...maybe...
but the sound are ... not really guitar rock... and the batery... not as good as I like:P!!
doing rock with computer and without electric guitar is really dificult (I know!!), because the synth plugins are not really as "realistic" sound as it would be.
if you would like to make good rock sound, buy/download a good/perfect VSTi of classic/acustic guitar and then buy/download a good/perfect VSTe of distortion guitar... but appart from that, the best I thing you could do is have a "fisic" guitar in your hands, and play it conneting to your computer...
but, about "rythm" and "construction" of that song, i think it good! |

I have to agree on the game style. It sound like some thing out of a pretty old side-scrolling actiongame. To my experiance rock songs doesn't vary that quickly, in beats especialy. Also the theme melody is a very "chip-tune" thing to have in a song. The main riff could work in a rock song.
I like the track as it is but if you want to work toward rock use straighter beats and multisampled guitars. |

yeah i was just wanting to ask if it sounded rock style...cuz acutally i wasnt trying for that. i would rather make my own style of music if i had the chance. and video game style just makes music sound better. to my oppinion video game music has more to it for melody than anything els, (ok not anything els, cuz symphony "changes" in melody compared to slight repetitiveness)has more imagination (variety). so acutally thanks for the feedback i love what i heard from you guys thanks! not sure exactly what you meant about battery and "fisics" but i know you were talking about getting the right guitar sound and all that...but i love the instruments i was able to use. oh and the rythm with percussion or whatever its called wasnt made by me, it was made by a video game composer professional. i cant make my own right now hehe. someone gave me the resources to download samples but that would take to long to find the right instrument for my music so i go with what i got...but when i get professional from everyones feed back and what not, then ill have the money to get highspeed or the equipment to get highest quality samples. but for now its just me and mad tracker to do the dirty work hehe. |
