Posted: Fri Nov 17 2006 20:28 Test your musical skills .. or how tonedeaf you are ;) |
 |
Here's a little experiment to test how good you are to hear if there are any difference between two lines.
There are 36 lines to listen too and you should guess which of them that are the same and which ones that are not the same.
http://jakemandell.com/tonedeaf/ .. you need Flash version 8 or 9 to load this test.
I ran it yesterday and got 80.6% of the questions right.. Not really satisfied so I will try some other day again
Remember to check the statistics after you've done it.
Enjoy

I got a little thrown off by incoming messages on MSN, but I managed to get 82,2% anyway. Not exactly satisfying. I'll try it again sometime. Some of the melodies where pretty cool.. |

88.9% Correct
but after 25, I got board and didn't really care anymore.. 36 is a bit excesive for testing to be tonedeaf. |

There was one that I still had a hard time getting to sound the same when I checked the stats, but other than that I agree with you. Mostly, you probably benefit from having a good memory on this one. |

Well, I guess if you don't have a tone ear you won't hear difference no matter how good memory you have.
Also, this test will also prove how fast you can learn a new musical phrase. |

I did this test when they first posted it on ctg.
I sucked at it, maybe I should think about start painting instead. wonder if there is a test for a painting artist online where you remember pictures.
nha, maybe this is a good test for those who plays in a band or something but for a producer not really.
and no I didn't score that bad just trying to make a point. |
