Track Preview: A ballad of sorts

It's been a while since my last post, but I haven't made anything in quite some time. I decided to try and make a ballad. Yeah... Those of you who know my music are probably smirking right now, I don't mind Smile

Style aside, I think it's pretty obvious it's my work. The track has been challenging so far, especially trying to avoid making it happy and "dancy". Haven't completely succeeded in that department, but I can't help it. Working with Madtracker is too much fun. Hope you like it, or hate it, I'm happy as long as it makes you feel something.

Listen to the track!

Work in progress (only ~20 workhours so far) so please consider this for your ears only. It's made using a shitty headset so wear one when you listen (or in other words, it hasn't been mixed/mastered/whatever).

I love it! This has a great beat, and the style changes are very awesome. As always, I love that effect where the sound is on, off, on, off! You have a method for that? I'd love to know how you did that part.
Keep up the amazing work!

Thanks guys Smile

As G3R says it's a gate. I've routed 17 channels (tracks) into one I call "chopper" and put on a VST called FLOORFISH (free ofc), which I in turn control with MT2's delicious automation. If you'd like I can give you the module when the track is finished so you can see how it's done.

Thanks guys! I'm happy you like the new bit. I'll see what I can do about getting a choir in there. Know any good free samples/VST's for choir?

Good choir for free is choir heaven ( http://www.madtracker.org/plugins.php?category=Instrument&subcategory=Strings+%2F+Orchestral )

The best choir i've heard (inside vsti) is the one in Hypersonic (1 or 2) , but that one will cost u big time Rolling Eyes

Music ... is endless ... Work in progress ...

It's nearly done now, I think. And the title will be "On The Run".
