experiential - different method

i've written an ambient track that i thought i'd post on here.
it was meant to be a short loop for a site, but i got carried away and made a whole track.

http://www.am-1.co.uk/tracks/experiential_different_method.mp3

pretty much all the instruments are made with zebracm which is an awesome vst i got free with computer music mag.

cheers

andy

edit: i was thinking earlier that maybe ambient is music for musicians. what do you think?

Defenatly you Wink

Great intro, nice use of effects, panning and mood is exelent as always, hmm, is that one sample from Qbical's song, "Left" ? Nice build up follow's, the distorted bassdrum works verry well. Break beat kicks in and is ok, fit's the song but adds nothing special, well panned though. Very powerfull strings and synth's in this track, good melodies, and nice work on the automation. Overall a great track to listen...

But,

although this is a beautiful song, this is getting a bit to much of the same.(my humble opinion ) Your skills are extremely well, use them to create somthing else which is a tough thing to ask since your ofc comfortable with your music.
Don't get me wrong here this is a great track! Wink

But I think you should turn off the auto pilot my friend and search for a new challange! Wink

Loving it!!!!!!!!

When I heard the first 10 seconds I already knew I´m gonna like this one and it sounds awesome!

That´s your style! No need to change, no need to search for new challenges....I think every new track is a challenge for you.

That cant be autopilot Smile.

Mhhh yeah gotta agree with Geronimo...your tracks don´t sound the same, even I doubt this is what Factor really meant.

My opinion: Keep doing what you do! I´m a great fan of your tunes! Always listen to them when I´m sick of phat rap beats Smile.

Here I love the piano a lot!
Great drum arrangement, nice melo´s and synths...

And again (and this is what I totally love about your tunes) you create such a cool athmosphere!
Put this on my car mp3 player, let me drive home towards dusk and I´ll definately get goosebumps...I´ll tell ya!

Thumbs up on this one!!! Loving it much more than the remix you had up here last.

chief Wink.

P.S. Collabo some day? Very Happy

im more than happy with how my music is progressing, and challenge myself every day so resent you saying im on autopilot. still, you added that panacea of a qualifier "my humble opinion" so no matter. Mad

cheers for the comments chief and kev. i really appreciate your thoughts. i love the atmosphere of this track as well.
we've talked about it for a while now chief, but we should definately do a collab, i think we could make some awesome music. maybe an electro house rap track? that would be cool Very Happy

I'm sorry if anyone espechialy Andy feels offended by me saying "autopilot" I don't mean it that negative in the way you guys propably think.

The way I feel about it is that I can predict how the song structure is/will be, after listning just half a minute.
Andy's melodies and ideas are perfect, and with highly accured details created. It's hard to explain, but in the structure of the song I can't find anything that makes me think, never saw that one coming.

Andy does have is own sound, and that is somthing to be proud of Wink I think I can say out loud that most of us can pick his work out of hundreds of other songs.
But for me personly, I would love to hear that "Andy sound" in a somewhat difrent song structure, so it can suprise me.

No hard feelings I hope, It's hard to discribe what I ment, but I hope this helps a bit. Wink

ok mate, i reacted a bit over the top to what you said. i appreciate your feedback as always, and i do understand what you mean. those parts that you think are predictable are what make my music mine, but i guess from a long time listeners point of view it can be predictable.
anyway, no hard feelings ofc.

I love it. Again. It's cheesy, I know, but I love it.

Go make an entire album. I need a replacement for Airdrawndagger.
