It's probably happened to all of us, and it to me it happens all the time. I get an idea for a track, start a little draft, make a few patterns, and then get stuck.
After opening madtracker again after a few years of non-madness, i decided to check out these drafts, or concepts, again. They're always a joy to listen to, but it makes me sad that I couldn't finish them too. I thought it might be fun to post a couple here, and I think it'd be cool if you would too.

Thanks Mastema! Voices aren't vocoded btw, they're cut up computervoices.
Btw, this topic wasn't meant for me to show the songs i couldn't finish, but also for people who would like to show theirs |

i figured out a way to put all these little snips to use. i clicked onto an indie game forum and made a little soundclick page. i just let the developers use them at will...
and they are here...
http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=660257
38 total right now...
oh and all who want to do the same thing...
This is the forum for the developer forum. i just let them use them for free, they are by no means professional games, but its kinda neat to hear your stuff in games.

out of every song i "finish" i have at least 100 ones that never made the grade. plus i find that every sing i have "finished" really isn't up to par either...
i just got tired of trying or i lack the intelligence to get what i want out of the sounds i have to use and am waiting for better sounds or someone to come along and sing the lyrics i have for them. |
