I would give my left leg (since I use my arms for playing and tracking and still need one leg for a pedal ) to be able to live record from a mic input on a track while it is running with beat and everything, just like you can do with a daw. Just 4 to 8 tracks available for that would be enough.
The trick would be to be able to move it up or down with the mouse and ajust the length and beginning point of the recorded sample, and if MT3 comes with better effects such as an advanced equlizer for Master or individual tracks.
This feature would be great for singing and playing live instruments and record it directly at the track without too much sample editing.
Actually, this is possible with MT if I remember correctly. Yannick had a post a few years back saying that this was possible, not as a feature but as an uninteded sideeffect. I think the trick is to prepare to record a sample and the pressing play while in record mode. Should work...

Well I think i remember a time when I tried something similar, but at the moment I can't record anything inside the recording window both from my build in sound card and my extern, no matter what drivers i choose, is there any settings I am not aware of ?
