Inge wrote: | Enon: are all vocals yours? And if so, how did you manipulate them? Some very interesting fx on them, of which I would love to learn how you made them.

Inge:
The vocals and lyrics belong to the other half of the band, my partner in crime Sick Valentine. When I get an official website up for the group I'll have pictures and lyrics available. The effects are slightly different for each song, which song would you like to know the fx on?
XnmE:
Thanks for listening to my tracks. I used Cakewalk Sonar, with some editing using Soundforge and CEP.
Don't give up tracking, at least see what MT3 will be like.
cheers,

P.S. in case you'd like to know, you can hear a short backwards vocal from me at the very beginning of Father of All Sons Deformed. |

Man! You rule! Fuckin good vox!
Is it real guitar in 'Earth is Hell'?
Because of ppl like you and Enon I'll give up tracking
'Sleeping Away' is my favourite. Where are a lirycs? I wanna sing along |
hehe Thanks for the kind words , Yes the guitar is 100% original and real in 'earth is hell' .
Yeah 'slipping away' was my baby for a long time, I wrote that song in 1999.. and it still stood the test of time for the cd release in 2003, with just a tiny re-master. It sorta captured everything I was about without listening to all my other tracks back then.. I think every musician need a track they can relate to as there 'Overall sound'. the song "Tears" is more what I am about these days.
There arent many lyrics in Slipping away.. but they are:
Worried today
Is fading away
Its slipping away
worried today
its fading away
Its slipping away
Thats about it. Simple message, minimalist lyrics, nothing else would have really fit in...it just makes its statement, plays you the music doesnt explain why everything is slipping away, it just is.. and then leaves.

Enon: I like it, although the changes from one page to another go way to slow for me (even for the standards of a 56k6 user it's rather boring). Apart from that, especially your utter dark & cynical humour is much appreciated by me. It makes me think all the time of Johnny the homicidal maniac, or am I mistaken here?
A general index somewhere would be nice. Now I must go back to your homepage everything to access a specific part, whereas I would be more pleased by a standard menu at the left or right.
But then again, I just like almost every written word there, and that makes up most of the flaws.

Hey Inge, you seem to be wise in many ways, perhaps I will ask you a question....
I'm using Word 97 to edit my html stuff, which is fine for what it does, but there is 1 huge problem: When saving my stuff Word tends to like to re-arrange the html code in the damn thing, supposedly to make it more tidy or whatever, but a side-effect is that it tends to delete a lot of the Java code I put in there. For this reason I haven't been able to put a drop-down menu for fast navigation, because Word deletes it as soon as it's saved. Basically, my question is this: where does a simple fellow like me find a good web page developing program for free? I'd love to get MS FrontPage, but alas my budget is zero and Kazaa doesn't have it!
A solution, if you have one, is much appreciated.
cheers,
~Enon |

Dreamweaver MX. There you go. Enjoy!
Inge
ps: must say that I know shit about html though. You should have seen me stumbling and falling in the old forum with codes. It's just that Dreamweaver is very intuitive...even I can do some basic things with that program. Furthermore, don't count me wiser than I am There are loads of people here (if not all) that know everything you need to know about html (daxx, sz1, sunbuster etc), so they could help you further.

*Never* use word for html-editing. From what I've heard, Word automatically generates extra codes for reasons none understand I advice you, if you want to stick to true html-writing, to use Notepad, since it keeps your html-code completely clean.

The "hardcore" coder would use only notepad or editpad or similar, since those are basic text editors that don't add any tags of their own. www.htmlhelp.com is a good site to bookmark if you decide to go that way. But for basic stuff, try a search on tucows.com. They have plenty of editors, some shareware, some even freeware. AceHTML 5 Freeware seems to be a very popular pick over there, and it's got a 5 cow rating (and in my experience, tucows ratings can be depended on) so it should be pretty good. Haven't used it myself though (am one of those "hardcore" coders ). |

and like Inge said, STAY AWAY FROM WORD WHEN IT COMES TO HTML EDITING! it's a word processor, not a html editor, even though Microsoft in it's desperate atemt to integrate everything has given it some basic html-editing capabilities. |

I Like Ultra Edit; very handy text editor. Especially as you can open multiple files and switch easily between them. |
